East Coast West. Lots and lots of Johnny Cash...
Born and raised on the East Coast, I've been living and producing content in the Bay Area for fifteen years. Occasionally unorthodox in approach, I remain deeply committed to the practical business needs of the organizations I serve, while creating meaningful content
for their audiences.
Currently, I oversee program marketing and member engagement for the global nonprofit Net Impact, as Sr. Manager of Marketing & Content. This includes strategy, management, and content development for our digital communications channels (social media, email, and the Net Impact blog).
My innate curiosity makes for an extremely versatile skill set and a varied portfolio, but my focus is on strategic content development – which essentially means that I tell stories that get things done.
Iíve written about design, business, and sustainability for online and print outlets, spent six years running solo communications practice Roughstock Studios, served as partner and content lead for the popular sustainable design website Re-nourish.com, and my design work has been featured in a book or two. Former lives include stints as a bookkeeper, poet, teacher, honky tonk DJ, and bartender – all of which inform the work I do today (yep, all of it).
I'm always open to new projects, opportunities, and idea exchanges, so don't hesitate to drop me a message.
